Position purpose The Kai Manaaki Taiao - Field worker is responsible for performing various tasks and operations as directed by the Supervisor at farm sites affected by flooding. The mahi can include: Fence clearing, rolling damaged by flooding, clearing silt, culverts, clearing branches and stacking wood etc.Any tasks and mahi in the work schedule. ETFG mahi is part of a 12 week programme.

Job Requirements

Experience in working in the outdoors Be able to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Farm and/ or bush fit, able to do tough outdoor skills

Confident interpersonal skills, can get along and engage with people. Be able to work in rough, rugged, flood damaged locations. Self-motivated, independent, team spirited and keen to learn. Can do attitude, shows initiative and works with minimal direction.

Be physically fit and healthy Can stick at the task, when the going gets tough; as required by the Supervisor and work schedule. Chainsaw skills is a bonus

5-6 Days 7-4 or earlier if weather is hot (40 hours per week)
