A leading furniture repair company, specialising in high-quality furniture repair, sofa recolouring, and leather rejuvenation. They are a 100% mobile service provider, catering to both large chain stores and private customers. As they continue to expand they are looking to add a Furniture Repair Technician to our team in the Christchurch region. This role is perfect for someone who is starting out in their career and looking to learn from the best. Full training will be provided for the right candidate to become a certified furniture repair technician. We are looking for someone who is reliable, has common sense, has a strong work ethic, follows instructions, and takes pride in their work. As a Furniture Repair Technician, you will be responsible for a range of repair tasks, including upholstery and leather repair, spot cleaning, stitching, and minor upholstery work. You will also be involved in replacing parts, rebuilding furniture, and handling various repair jobs on-site at customers' homes or businesses. Flexibility is essential as you may need to work irregular hours to meet deadlines and cover other regions as needed. To be successful in this position you will need to have. • A clean Full Driver License. • Technical or Trade School qualification (preferred) • Furniture repair experience (a plus but not required as full training will be provided) Strong customer service focus. • Be physically fit and comfortable working in various environments. – • Have basic computer skills. • Able to work independently and travel daily. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • A clean criminal record.

Job Requirements

Candidates must hold a full class 1 licence and have a clean criminal record.

Days of work
8am – 4.30pm (Mon – Fri) must be flexible (40 hours per week)
