A Seaview-based employer is looking for an Engineering Trade Assistant to join their company!

The tasks and skills required include: • Able to read drawings and specifications and query where not sure. • Plan each job procedure and methods to ensure most efficient use of time and equipment. • Able to do MIG welding, grinding, mechanical work and fitting. • Follow all Safety procedures at all times. Identify hazards. Assist staff provide a safe workplace. • Ensure work completed on time & within hours allocated to the job. • Ensure job cards, time sheets & paperwork completed correctly and on time. • When in contact with clients or their staff, ensure SES’s reputation is kept up by proper conduct, tidy work, polite manners, and professional work-wear and cleanliness. • Contribute to the quality of work produced by all other workers.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Some engineering experience. • Welding skills (preferred.) • Interested in working on heavy transport industry. • Willing to progress in an engineering career.

You must have your own vehicle and a minimum of Class 1 Restricted NZ Driver Licence at time of application.

Pre-employment drug testing will also be taking place.

Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00pm (40 hours per week)

$25.00 to $28.00
