DUNEDIN (MOSGIEL). We are seeking highly motivated Laboratory Technicians to play a key role in our up-coming busy season.
This is a casual position, but for those individuals who show initiative, there may be potential to secure a fixed-term contract at a later-date.
Beneficial to have Restricted Drivers Licence and own Vehicle to be considered for this role, as it 20 minutes’ walk from bus stop. we are based in Mosgiel at the Invermay Campus.
Work Hours You must be available to work: Up to 40 Hours per week depending on demand from end of January to end of May/end of June.
Your hours of work may vary from week to week, and we may need you for some evening work and weekend work at peak times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES: • Sample testing (Handling and processing of faecal material in the Laboratory). • Cleaning of the Laboratory and equipment. • Working closely with the Assistant Laboratory Manager to meet deadlines. • Completing paperwork accurately, e.g. Laboratory forms. • Reading, learning, and adhering to correct Laboratory procedures. • Other tasks as required.
Hours and days are:
Hours: • 40 hours per week.
Days: • Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5.00pm. We may need you for some evening work and weekend work at peak times.
Wage: • $23.70 per hour.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency. • Skills and experience Laboratory experience is an advantage but is not essential; we will give you full training. • You will be a dynamic and motivated team player who works well with others to meet work targets. • You will be precise, accurate and stay calm under pressure. • Beneficial to have Restricted Drivers Licence and own Vehicle to be considered for this role, as it 20 minutes’ walk from bus stop. • Be physically fit as you standing on your feet all day.
