Support Workers required to cover the Tairawhiti region. Supporting clients to live their best lives in their own home, maintaining their independence and staying connected. Our clients come from all walks of life, and are all ages. They may have a permanent disability, be recovering from an accident, or preparing to age well at home. The ability to be flexible with hours (early mornings, evenings and alternate weekends) is important in this role. Our support workers are caring people with a commitment to providing the best possible support to our clients. Each client will have individual care requirements and you will support them with all elements of daily living such as personal care, food preparation, mobility care and ensure medication needs are met. You may also help our clients to participate in the community, undertake shopping for them or help them to take part in their hobbies. Experience preferred but not essential / training provided.
Must have reliable transport and a current Restricted or Full New Zealand drivers license, genuine commitment to ongoing training in national NZQA certificates, must be available to work alternate weekends, a demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the workplace and actively demonstrates the ability and desire to show cultural sensitivity, awareness and understanding of diversity.
