Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and skilled Kaiawhina/Caregivers to join our team. As a Kaiawhina, you'll be responsible for delivering competent, friendly, and culturally safe care to clients and their whanau. You will play a vital role in developing and implementing individual service delivery plans, fostering wellness, and supporting independence for those under your care.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement individual service delivery plans tailored to the specific needs of clients. Provide home-based care services, including personal care, household assistance, and support for clients with medical conditions. Coordinate and develop home-based care programs, respecting the individuality of each person and the significance of whanau. Offer support and guidance to clients and their whanau in making informed decisions about healthcare options. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Health allied training or experience in health promotion, nursing, social work, or teaching. (Training can be provided for the right person, so if you feel a need to help please apply)

Pass Criminal record checks

Knowledge and appreciation of tikanga Maori and te reo.

Proven experience working with older individuals and clients.

Understanding of health matters pertaining to the elderly and clients.

First Aid certificate. (Can be provided if you dont have one)

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Possession of a current driver's license and own transport.

Familiarity with Tainui and its people

As required and agreed upon based on individual service delivery plans. 7 days a week operation (30 hours per week)
