Domestic Assistant - Childcare

A part-time opportunity has come about for a new Domestic Assistant to join our team at busy Invercargill childcare centre.

We support 75 children and supply nutritious, cooked lunches daily. Our lunches are prepared off site and delivered to our centre. As our Domestic Assistant you will serve kai, prepare afternoon tea, keep our kitchen sparkling clean, power through the dishes as they come in and help with the daily laundry.

You’ll need to be efficient with your time and good attention to detail as you will also have kitchen compliance to keep up to date. We will offer an induction and training around this.

Ideally you will have the following skills: • Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping • A passion for working alongside children • An understanding of allergies and dietary requirements • A can-do attitude and can work well within a team

This is a permanent part time position working 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 11am - 1pm.
