We are seeking both experienced and keen to learn workers to join our Salmon processing team in Bluff for permanent employment. Duties include but are not limited to - Knife work: primary processing gill and gut removal - Knife work: de-heading, fillet, and portion trimming - General factory tasks (making ice slurries, washing bins, packing) Most jobs work in rotation and we require flexible people to work wherever needed. We have permanent and fixed-term roles (Nov – Feb) available. All roles are full time, but we can consider part-time. Working days: Monday - Friday Hours of Work: 7.00am - 3.30pm plus overtime when required. Our workers enjoy teamwork with everyone working together in a whanau-type environment. We love to have a laugh at the same time. Pay Rate depending on experience. Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory as well a medical assessment. Convictions on a case by case basis.
You must reach the below prerequisites to be considered. - Have previous knife hand experience OR are keen to learn this skill - Are physically fit and reliable - Have a positive and hardworking attitude - Are team players and can work with others well - Can follow health, safety, and quality requirements in the workplace - Can adapt to change and have an open mindset. - We are committed to maintaining a drug and alcohol-free workplace. - hold NZ citizenship, NZ Permanent Residency
