About this job

We’re a specialist post-harvest facility for New Zealand kiwifruit and avocado growers, with 30+ years in the biz. As our newest team member, you’ll be joining a well-established and highly regarded company where employee health and happiness is valued, and high performance is recognised. Our philosophy? That together, we’re better. Our success is shared, and our work is built on respect and appreciation for one another. Our mission is clear: to uphold the trust of our growers through our unwavering commitment to performance, leadership, strong relationships, and transparent practices. It’s as simple as that!

You’ll be in charge of the kiwifruit yard, making sure the fruit gets the care it deserves as it is transported to site.

Lead our fantastic team of yard workers and make sure everyone stays safe at work. Keep our kiwifruit sorted, stored and looking good. It’s like fruit Tetris but in real life! Plan and manage site yard forklift fleet requirements. Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock rotation. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless post-harvest process. Maintain records and documentation as required by regulatory agencies. Manage site waste bins, ensure all reject fruit, process fruit, and plant waste are managed according to relevant protocols. Keep the site weed-free and vegetation under control with spray programs. Assist with managing budgets and expenses related to yard operations.
