Machine Operator/Driver

You’ll be working as part of an elite, high level team with one of New Zealand’s busiest and most successful complex earthworks/civil and infrastructure companies. As an Operator you’ll be responsible for operating machines on complex earthworks and civil infrastructure sites, undertaking ESC works, Geo-tech Improvements, Bulk and Detailed Excavation, Trenching, and Finishing etc. You’ll get to work on some of Auckland’s highest profile and exciting land development projects across Auckland.

• Preferred 2-5 year’s machine/site experience • Mechanically inclined • Ability to work unsupervised with a positive work attitude • Willing to work 10-12 hour days and weekends • Understands safe work practices in an earthworks/civil environment • Can make difficult decisions quickly and thoughtfully when under pressure • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, operations outside of general duties • Willing to assist with maintenance, clean-up and anything else that requires attention, as directed by the Site Supervisor or Manager • Can identify potential hazards in and around the work area

As part of our recruitment process, you’ll need to complete an on-site work trial so we can assess your operating skills. You should be willing to work in any weather conditions as well as working Saturdays and shift work if required. • Must hold minimum full class 1 drivers’ licence (preferably also class 2) • To apply for this role, you must have NZ residency or hold a valid work visa. • All new employees must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and comply with our drug and alcohol policy.
