Employer is looking for Support Workers to join their team. Applicants will be supporting people requiring assistance, focus will be on assisting them to gain greater independence and be part of their community. Responsibilities will include: Forming meaningful relationships with the people you support to consistently promote their interests and needs. Working alongside each person, helping them to achieve their goals by focusing on their aspirations and strengths. Helping people you support connect with their community for example - shopping, clubs or leisure and work activities. Promoting independence in the home by supporting with meal preparation, household management and personal cares. Assisting with their mobility for example- moving from place to place and basic movement and stretching. Some services may require personal cares. Training will be provided to successful candidates. Applicants must have sound written and verbal communication skills and be computer literate. Applicants must be able to work across a 7 day week on a 24/7 roster including weekends, evenings and sleepovers. Applicants must have a reliable transport and a clean class 1 Full New Zealand driver39;s license. Applicants must be able to pass a Police vetting.
