Construction Technician

Construction Technicians vacancy available in the Auckland Region. 2 years of relevant work experience in construction and trades-related fields. Qualifications not required apart from Site Safe certification.

Tasks include: - Cleaning construction worksites and general labouring as required by site or operations managers, landscape architects, carpenters, or licensed builders. - Assist in the construction of gardens, parks, landscapes, fences, shelves, chattels, and landscaping fixtures or building or civil works structural improvements related to commercial and residential projects.

- Assist in repairing broken windows, screens, and painting interior/exterior surfaces such as walls, roofs, ceilings, and fences for commercial and residential projects. - Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites related to commercial or residential projects. - Erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as barricades and scaffolding. - Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete, plaster and mortar. - Digging holes and shoveling excavated material onto conveyors, wheelbarrows, and trucks for removal of surplus materials, or rubbish, and keeping construction sites safe. - Assist with the spreading and levelling soil, gravel and sand on roads and driveways, trench bottoms and similar locations. - Assist with installing fixtures such as toilets, wash basins and sprinkler systems. - Assist electrotechnology and telecommunications trades workers to install and maintain commercial and residential electrical and telecommunications systems. - Assist construction and/or manufacturing and/or building managers with receiving and processing incoming stock/inventory and materials, picking and filling orders from stock/inventory, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock/inventory. What we can offer (subject to conditions): - Immediate interview and vetting to ensure our recruitment standards are met. - Pay from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience and commitment. - A minimum of 30 hours of work per week. - Monthly or Fortnightly pay directly into your account - A great crew and team environment on site - Upskilling and training from industry leaders
