Health Support Worker

Residential home in Mosgiel seeking casual Support Workers. The home prides itself on providing excellent care and support to people with physical disabilities ensuring that everyone is treated as an adult. They encourage independence and choices. Staff are required to provide personal and daily support to residents with physical disabilities. Staff work in a home with residents all with physical disabilities. Most of the residents require the support of staff to shower, dress, provide bowel cares, provide meals or snacks, support with getting out into the community, support to transfer using a hoist and other daily tasks. Not all residents require the same level of support it is dependant on their condition and if they are able bodied or not. Staff must have a good sense of humour and be able to manage stress levels. To be successful in the role you will hold a current Drivers Licence.

Experience within the disability sector or in aged care is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Friendly personality and able to relate well to others is required. Good writing and reading skills required. Applicants need to complete an Application and Police Vetting Forms
