Kiwifruit Orchard Worker

Full time Summer kiwifruit orchard workers are required on a fixed term basis in the Te Puke area. Duties include bud thinning, fruit thinning, shoot tipping, leader work, male pruning and summer pruning. You will be on your feet and working above head and shoulders height for long periods of time. This work is weather dependant with up to 5 to 6 days of work available. Closed footwear must be worn on orchard – gumboots and sneakers are suitable. Tools and equipment are provided by the employer. Training is also provided to successful candidates. You will be required to have secured accommodation within daily travel to the Te Puke area prior to applying. Transport may be provided from Central Te Puke.
Fixed Term - 24 October to end of December 2023. Work may re-start from mid-January 2024.

Job Requirements
Applicants must be physically fit and able for this role. Applicants must have class 1 restricted driver licence and a reliable transport to get to and from work. Minor criminal convictions will be considered on case by case basis. Employer does conduct random drug testing.
