A Hotel in central Whangarei are seeking a Duty Manager to join the team at Reception with Food and Beverage experience. In this role you will ensure smooth and efficient overall day-to-day operations of the Restaurant and Front Desk . Your duties will include handling requests and complaints, deferring to the Manager when necessary, with a view to take ownership and turn the customer around and leave happy with the resolution, inputting information into the booking systems,, checking in and out of guests, hotel reservations and liaising with all team members in the kitchen and housekeeping. You will be Competent in Excel and Word, have some knowledge of Health & Safety and have the ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and school holiday periods.
1- must have an up to date CV and contactable referee’s. 2- Strictly No convictions in order to later acquire the LCQ. 3- Be drug free in order to pass testing. 4- Be willing and able to work the stated hours. 5- Minimum 2 years Front Office/Reception experience in a Hotel environment which is noted on the CV.
