Rest Home Caregiver

NEW BRIGHTON: Our employer requires 2 x experienced Rest Home Caregivers to join their team.

Duties include but are not limited to: • Showering and personal care of residents • Toileting of residents • Being involved in residents’ activities. • Can de-escalate negative behaviour and issues arising from additions and mental health.

Hours and days are:

Hours: • 20 Hours per week. Days: • Rotating roster including weekends.

Wage: Pay rate is $23.65 per hour, plus depending on experience.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • Applicants must prepare to complete Health and Wellbeing certificates. • The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment police check and drug test, as part of the employment process • You must be a New Zealand citizen, or hold New Zealand Permanent Residency, to apply for this role. • Must have the ability to work within the nursing team to promote the best outcomes for the residents and other staff as well as having flexibility to work morning or afternoon shifts including weekends. • Must be able to cope with this environment where residents have no filter. • No qualification required. • We would prefer you to have 2 years’ experience in this field.
