Looking for a career change? An exciting opportunity has risen for an employer based within the meat industry. This role offers 3 weeks of training prior to guaranteed work. Employer is based in Otahuhu and is a live processing plant. Positions available for keen individuals who are ready for a busy fulltime employment and who are able to work in a fastpaced environment that involves heavy lifting and repetitive work. Duties include operate switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables; cuts meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones; washes, scrapes and trims foreign material and blood from meat; cuts sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts, such as rumps, flanks and shoulders, and removes internal fat, blood clots, bruises and other matter to prepare them for packing and marketing. You must be able to work well within a tight and busy unit amongst others. You must have a positive mindset for hygiene with a high regard to food and committed to safe working practises. Candidates must be flexible for rostered shifts. All interested candidates must be able to pass a preemployment drug test, medical check and a Police check case by case.
