The start date is negotiable but would ideally like someone to start as soon as possible to establish routines and familiarity with students from term 4 onwards which commences 09th of October. Job Requirements

Police vetting is required General Statement of Responsibilities: 1. Create and facilitate alternative educational opportunities for “at-risk” students. 2. Truancy support. 3. Building relationships with “at-risk” students and their whānau. 4. Deans’ support. 5. The Tautoko Programme Support will be expected to work in any/all of the following areas: a. Work with students (in a one-to-one situation or in small groups) within or alongside mainstream and Tautoko classes. b. Support classroom teachers by working with targeted student/s in their classes. c. Monitor the progress of individual students by maintaining records and reporting this to the Deans and Principal. d. Attend any meetings when requested by the Principal, Business Manager, or Deans. e. To support students in co-curricular activities where possible, e.g. swimming sports.
