Viticulture Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Vineyard Engineer to join the team on a Permanent full-time basis. This role requires experience of tractor and harvester maintenance as well as understanding of hydraulic, auto electrical systems to undertake routine maintenance on the vineyard mobile plant equipment.
Key responsibilities: • Preventative and breakdown maintenance on all vineyard mobile equipment • Maintenance, repair and installation of vineyard equipment • Maintaining accurate service records • Welding and fabrication • Auto electrical serving and repairs • A/C serving and repairs • Hydraulic attachment repairs • Contractor management, permit to work • Complete compliance, commissioning and relevant documentation • Capital purchasing and budgeting

Job Requirements
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
The successful candidate will have: • General Engineering/trade qualifications or three or more years of engineering experience • Experience with vineyard machinery preferred • Automotive, auto electric experience preferred • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and excellent time management skills • Solid planning skills with the ability to work to a budget • Good computer skills • Be physically capable • A current full driver’s licence • Must be a NZ resident or citizen If you meet the above skills and criteria, we would love to hear from you.
