Caregiver

A Waitara Resthome is looking for a Caregiver to join their team and provide excellent care to our residents. If you have a genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents, we would love to hear from you.

Duties include: • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence. • Safely transfer residents between areas of the facility, including to and from activities and meals. • Encourage residents to partake in their own care as much as they are able, fostering a sense of independence. • Monitor the health and well-being of residents, reporting any significant changes to the supervisory staff. • Participate in creating and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.

Applicants must have proven experience as a caregiver. Certification or training in emergency response and first aid, including CPR. Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints. A commitment to adhering to health and safety standards. Respectful, compassionate nature with a dedication to providing exceptional care. Exceptional time management skills and multitasking ability. Strong verbal communication skills. Pass a police check.
