A Waitara Resthome is looking for a Cook who takes pride in their culinary skills and loves creating delightful meals for our patrons.

Duties include: • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping. • Adhere to all food health and safety guidelines during food preparation and cooking. • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food sanitation requirements. • Properly handle food items to ensure freshness and correct storage. • Routinely carry out tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors to ensure a tidy workspace. • Cook meals based on set recipes or custom orders. • Assist other cooks and kitchen staff in various tasks as required. • Foster a cooperative and caring work environment, always ready to help out team members.

Applicants need to have a proven food preparation and cooking experience. Ability to accurately follow recipes and instructions. Solid knowledge of food hygiene practices.
