Hospitality Workers - Training Provided

SkyCity’s Project Nikau has launched their Youth Academy that focuses on “Growing our Own”. It is their career pathways to employment programme, specifically targeting Māori and Pasifika rangatahi that identify as NEET’s (Not Engaged in Education Employment & Training). The focal point will be to train our rangatahi through a 3 week comprehensive paid training programme. The academy will incorporate a blend of work readiness at SkyCity, industry professionals sharing knowledge, on-site training (work experience) and a core cultural component that speaks to a young person’s hauora and wellbeing. The aim is to minimise barriers into first time employment at SkyCity, building their capability and ensuring they transition seamlessly into our fulltime foundational level positions. Interested?
