• Matching and rostering of support workers with clients Support the Client Services Managers (CSM) in both Palmerston North and Wellington with new referrals including home visits, preparing all relevant • documentation and maintaining accurate records on the client management systems (Connect) • Work with CSMs in both Palmerston North and Wellington to identify Support staff to meet the needs of the client and support their understanding of the tasks required whilst on roster • Liaise with internal staff e.g., Registered Health Professionals to support service delivery • Undertake any activities to support the CSMs that enables effective, proactive, responsive service delivery • Involvement in the recruitment and retention process of support workers including performance feedback, education, and training • Health and Safety assessments of client homes • Relationship-building with clients and promotion of the Healthvision brand The work can be challenging at times and the ideal candidate needs to be flexible, fun, and motivated in supporting people to make positive changes in their lives. Strong emphasis is placed on building sustainable relationships with stakeholders and their families. Having a good understanding of customer service, a listening ear and good life skills and common sense is essential. If you are self-motivated and a fast learner, can remain calm when under pressure, have an eye for detail then this role will suit you.
Job Requirements
• Minimum/Ideally of 2 years’ work experience in healthcare is a MUST/would be an advantage (formal healthcare qualifications i.e. a Level 4 equivalent would be preferred) • Proven scheduling and coordination skills would be an advantage • Computer literate • Excellent communication and relationship building skills. • Creative approach to problem solving. • A ‘can do’ attitude, motivated and flexible to deliver outstanding service with an ability to think “out of the square”. • Empathetic approach when dealing with others from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. • Ability to remain calm under pressure. • Highly organized with strong time management skills • A Team player with the ability to work autonomously. • Full Driver's License.
