General Election Worker

Kia ora, recruitment for the General Elections is underway. Casual roles are available in Waimakariri and Hurunui.

Whether you want to greet voters, work in an office or count votes, there could be a role for you.

These casual opportunities require a variety of skills which will help deliver 2023's biggest event, this could range from one day to several weeks.

Pay rates vary for each role and range from $26ph - $33.80ph (plus 8% holiday pay). You can apply to work in a Voting Place, an Electorate Headquarter or both. **Please note the headquarters for the electorate may not be close to where you live, however voting places are located throughout the motu**.

What you'll need to succeed | Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitū A variety of skills and experience is required across both voting places and/or electorate headquarters, if you have some of the below skills or experience, please get in touch:

• Democratic enthusiasm • Adaptable learner, good communication skills and high achiever • Attention to detail • Ability to work with a diverse range of people • Planning and organising • Relate well to people in your community • Technological competence • Confident using Microsoft Office Software (required for some roles)
