Seeking a Support Worker for Takaka to support people to remain active, safe and independent in their own homes and communities. What does a Support Worker do? Our support workers are caring people with a commitment to providing the best possible support to our clients. Each client will have individual care requirements and you will support them with all elements of daily living such as personal care, food preparation, mobility or bowel/urinary continence care and ensure medication needs are met. You may also help our clients to participate in the community, undertake shopping for them or help them to take part in their hobbies. Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will: • Have some experience supporting people with disabilities or health needs. • Have a Full drivers licence. • Genuinely love working with people who need support, and seeing them thrive. • Be intuitive and responsive to people39;s feelings and needs. • Be open to working alongside families to create a good life for client. • Be a good planner- able to think of and plan activities both in-house and out and about. • Commit to following protocols to ensure safety of clients
