We are on the lookout for a Technician Assistant to play an integral part in executing and efficiently delivering the Kootuitui Warm Dry Homes program.
Work with the Warm Dry Homes Technician and Coordinator, apart of the Papakura Kootuitui team.
The Role: Connect and build relationships with whaanau in Papakura, and the wider community that are in need of this service to improve poor housing conditions. You will conduct home assessments to identify what is required, and where the needed areas of improvement are, Working within the project scope, prepare materials and equipment to carry out the home retrofits.
The successful applicant will undertake a Kootuitui induction programme, with training across - Warm Dry Homes Educational workshop, - Conducting the House Assessment - House installation, Covering the home repairs skills and undertaking the light installations.
Location: Work base will be at Papakura High School, Willis Road, Papakura, Auckland. Tenure: Fixed-term: 12-month contract, Hours: 30 hours per week, Remuneration: $22.70 per hour,

Job Requirements
Suitable candidates will need: - Competence using common power tools and hand tools. - Work well as an individual and apart of the team with a positive attitude, a friendly and polite manner, - Accurately complete documentation - Experience using Google Suite. - Ability to adhere to all Health and Workplace Safety protocol. - Well organised to efficiently plan to meet deadlines and ensure work deliverables are completed on time. - The capacity to think independently in order to solve and overcome simple and complex obstacles, to effectively manage problems as they arise.
