Meat Processing Worker

An awesome opportunity has risen for meat processing workers. An employer based in Otahuhu has positions available for keen individuals who are ready for a busy fulltime employment and who are able to work in a fastpaced environment that involves heavy lifting and repetitive work. Duties include operate switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables; cuts meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones; washes, scrapes and trims foreign material and blood from meat; cuts sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts, such as rumps, flanks and shoulders, and removes internal fat, blood clots, bruises and other matter to prepare them for packing and marketing. You must be able to work well within a tight and busy unit amongst others. You must have a positive mindset for hygiene with a high regard to food and committed to safe working practises.
