General Labourer

Be responsible for carrying out the duties of an Operator, including: • Operating rollers, excavators, graders, dump trucks and other mobile machines or vehicles according to level of experience and licences held • Comply with safe operating procedures and best practice for machinery • Complete pre-start checks and Inspect machines/vehicles driven for safety issues and perform preventative maintenance • Undertake labouring tasks as required • Operate small plant items and tools e.g. plate compactors, concrete saws, drills etc • Undertake manual labour tasks on site including, digging, sweeping, boxing, pouring of concrete, carpentry etc • Comply with company policies and procedures • Report defects, accidents or violations • Complete delivery dockets, timesheets and QA paperwork • Assist with or complete site set out duties including levels and string lines as required • Ensure appropriate vehicle licences are current and displayed on vehicles driven, requesting replacement licences as required • Identify hazards including overhead and underground utilities • Keep machines/vehicles driven in a clean and tidy condition • Comply with safety requirements on site • Follow the traffic management plan on site • Comply with company PPE requirements • Hold the appropriate licences for the machine/vehicle driven • Participates proactively in the training of self and others • Participate constructively in performance reviews and performance management programmes
