Laundry Assistant

A Picton based Laundry is looking for a fabulous part time Laundry Assistant.

Daily Tasks Involved:

-Opening and closing laundry each workday.

- Pick up Café rags, Overalls, Picton Medical, etc., on select days using Picton Laundry van and process quickly for same day return.

-Process customers’ laundry loads as soon as possible as their bags arrive. Wash and dry each customer load individually with their laundry bags to ensure all their items stay together. Wash-Dry-Fold-Iron.

- Enter each customer’s job into the computer as each one is finished.

-Treat stains on linen items when required, using chemical stain removal products. Ensure buckets of soaked linen are labelled with customer name.

-Maintain a high standard of finished presentation for each job and work efficiently to process work in quick timeframes.

-Answering the phone and dealing with customer enquiries.

-Assisting Laundromat customers when required.

-General cleaning duties as required to ensure the shop is kept tidy and presentable.

-Cash handling of small float for customer cash payments and recording details of these transactions.
