Lifeguard: As a pool lifeguard, your keen observation skills, patience, and people-oriented nature will shine, allowing you to handle any situation with confidence and calmness. Take charge as you proactively supervise, interact positively with visitors, educate them on pool rules, and swiftly respond to any First Aid emergencies that may arise. And that's not all – you'll also play a vital role in keeping the pool and its surroundings clean and always inviting. Opportunities are available across South Auckland Leisure Centres. Learn To Swim: No formal qualifications or experience required – all you need is a passion for working with our diverse community and making a real impact! Day-to-day, you'll be teaching people the art of swimming (don't worry, we'll show you how!), creating a fun and safe environment for our customers and visitors, and being an integral part of an amazing team serving the local community. Customer Support Representative: As a Customer Support Representative, you'll be the friendly face that greets our diverse customer base, providing top-notch service both in person and over the phone. For all positions, candidates will have sound administration and communication skills, outstanding customer service skills, be mature and most importantly be reliable. In addition, successful candidates will be flexible with varying rostered shifts, so reliable transport is a must! Learn to Swim and Lifeguard swimming criteria: 200m freestyle under 6 minutes / 50m breaststroke, 25m sidestroke, Duck/dive and retrieve objects from bottom of 5pm depth pool and tread water for 5 minutes. Auckland Council is committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children's Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and is deemed a safety sensitive position. As such applicants will be required to undergo police vetting and a drug test prior to commencing employment. Applicants must also have the legal right to already work in NZ.
