Brief Job summary / description: To assist in Vineyard Management by supervising seasonal labour force and performing machine operated activites. Key Responsibilities (if any): The job will require the employee to supervise large teams of workers and deal with issues arising from people management. The employee will be expected to report on daily tasks to the vineyard manager and provide summaries of the jobs completed. These duties may be modified and updated by the employer from time to time following agreement with the employee. The jobs required would be various, based on seasonal demand but may include the following: Pruning, trellis maintenance, young vine training, leaf plucking, canopy spraying, mowing, wrapping, crop thinning, hand harvesting, netting, trimming, fertigation, bud rubbing, wire lifting, shoot positioning, irrigation installation, herbicide spraying and fungicide spraying.

Job Requirements

At least 4 years in vineyards – covering all seasonal work, Assistant Supervisor for at least 12 months and must have own vehicle.

40 - 45 hours per week - 8 hours normal week (40 hours per week)
