Kia ora, recruitment for the General Elections is underway, they are currently needing voter assistants and issuing officers for Waimakariri. The Voter Assistant is the friendly and welcoming face a voter will first see when they enter a voting place and the primary responsibility of an Issuing Officer is to issue voting papers accurately and efficiently and to adhere to prescribed practices and processes.
Job Requirements
What you'll need to succeed | Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitū A variety of skills and experience is required across both roles and ideally seeking applicants who can fluently speak and read Te reo Māori and available to work Mon – Sat between 2 - 14 October 2023 at the local voting places.
The roles include a mix of the following; Greeting and providing assistance to voters Directing voters to the correct Issuing Officer Assisting with enrolment and managing queues during busy periods Help with the set up and pack down of the voting place and other end of day processes.
