Workshop Assistant/General Hand

A leading trailer manufacturing company for the heavy transport industry are seeking keen and hard working Workshop Assistants to join their team based in Wiri for an immediate start! Duties will include and not be limited to the following; • Assisting production, inventory and stores, picking and placing parts, unloading and loading deliveries to the workshop with the forklift • Yard and site housekeeping including general maintenance, lunchroom and amenities and grounds work • Sweeping and cleaning the workshop and stacking steel • Assist with production assembly as called upon • Washing trucks and trailers as required The ideal candidates will be physically fit, hands-on and eager to learn as there is room for growth and development within the company. Successful candidates must have no issues with being hands-on and have a can do attitude, be willing and open to learning new things as training will be provided. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 20-25kgs. Must hold a current full class 1 driver licence. A forklift licence is also needed or an F endorsement (highly desirable). All successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and Police check (case by case).
