A Dairy Farm Assistant is required on a 400 hectare dairy farm on the outskirts of Invercargill. This is a great opportunity for someone who has at least a years experience in dairy farming and will offer the opportunity to develop further dairy industry skills. You will need a great attitude, be keen to work with cows, and be physically capable. Duties include all general farm tasks and milking in a herringbone shed with 44 sets of cups, milking 750 cows. You will need a full class 1 licence and own transport as there is no accommodation available on site. No smoking in milking shed. Minor convictions will be considered on a case by case basis. Whilst work is full time, with cups-on at 5am, roster to be discussed further. A least a full year dairy farming experience, including calving and mating. Full class 1 drivers licence
