Daily Tasks Involved in the role: This position is responsible for moving, loading, and unloading furniture and household goods for Out of Town and local client pick-ups and deliveries. This position is moving elderly into retirement villages, so empathy, presentation and excellent communication and customer service skills are required. Licenses and first aid training provided Phone and tablet provided Driving in a new vehicle fleet Pathways available into training and management positions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Complete out of town tasks as directed by the SMM manager. Lift, carry, and load furniture into trucks / vans for transport to and from client locations, including up and down stairs. Deliver and set-up furniture and effects inside client homes, as required/requested within committed time frames. Demonstrate the ability to protect all client furniture from damage through established best practices. Pack and unpack items in an organized and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
Class 2 and or 4 NZ Driver’s License preferred, but training can be provided if you have a class 1 license. There is a requirement to obtain a minimum of a Class 2 license within 3 months of starting the role. Police check and able to pass a drug test
