Do you want to help deliver the 2023 General Election. Whether you want to greet voters, work in an office or count votes, there could be a role for you.

There are multiple casual roles available that require a variety of skills to help deliver 2023's biggest event. You could be working for a day or several weeks.

Pay rates for roles vary depending on the role but range from $26 (plus 8% holiday pay) per hour to $33.80 (plus 8% holiday pay).

You can apply to work in a Voting Place, an Electorate Headquarter or both. Voting Place Roles: Get paid to work on the front line of the election - from greeting voters, to issuing votes and helping voters, to managing and assisting teams of voting place employees.

Electorate Headquarter Roles: Work at an electorate headquarters and be part of a team that is the backbone of the General Election providing leadership, administration support, and oversight of election and post-election activities.

Please note the headquarters for the electorate may not be close to where you live. However we have voting places located throughout the country. Roles in voting places include: Voting Place Manager (VPM): has overall responsibility for the voting place, managing employees & ensuring votes are issued correctly Issuing Officer (IO): issues votes and supports voters Voter Assistant (VA): manages and helps voters as they arrive, and assists with enrolment Mobile Support (MS): visits voting places to support Voting Place Managers Issuing Support Officer (ISO): Supports Managers at busy voting places

Roles at Electorate HQs include: Managers (HQSTL): oversees and coordinates processes Leaders (PL): lead technical processes Administrators (HQSS and HQS): support the HQ teams and operations
