Catering Assistant

LSG Sky Chefs is an airline catering company located in Mangere (Airport Oaks) that makes food for retail outlets and airlines. They are currently recruiting full time Catering Assistants to join their team. The role of Catering Assistant may include working on the Assembly Line which include tasks such as assembling, sorting, picking, and packing meals OR working in Inbound Equipment Processing which include tasks such as picking, packing and washing dishes and cutlery OR carrying out kitchen hand duties such as helping with food preparation. To be a successful applicant for this role you will have good attention to detail and hand/eye coordination and be able to work comfortably standing in a cool temperature-controlled environment. To be considered for the roles, you will need to be hardworking with a great attitude, have basic numeracy and literacy skills, have a clean MOJ/ Police record due to Airport location (Only ‘minor’ convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis) and have a sufficient transportation plan to get and from work. Public transport in close by but please consider the shift times as public transport is limited for shifts that start early and finish late.
