Out of School Care Co-ordinator

Love working with children? We have 3 fantastic full-time (30 hours pw) positions looking after primary school-aged children in a school setting.

There are three North Shore locations to choose from (Glenfield, Greenhithe, Dairy Flat). The Out of School Care Co-ordinator encompasses the Early Bird, After School Care and Holiday Programme Supervisors role. The support provided includes tasks which underpin the centres involved in the care of children before and after school and school holidays such as activity planning, holiday planning, seeking new holiday venues, putting together resources required for these activities.

Duties include but are not limited to the following: - Plan, supervise and resource activities for After School Care and Holiday Programmes. - If necessary plan afternoon tea menus and weekly staff task lists, duties for games, special activities. - Order groceries for afternoon tea through office. - Meet and greet parents, get to know them and the development of respectful and friendly relationships. - Discuss incidents with parents in a calm and respectful manner but with good detail and a joint strategy on how to address problems. - Identify hazards that may affect parents or children or caregivers and have them addressed by the employer or the School or Building Managmement.

You will need to be friendly, enthusiastic, trustworthy and a relaxed team player that is confident interacting/engaging with children, parents, and school staff. - Full Driver Licence - Able to pass Ministry of Justice check (no convictions) - First Aid Certificate (would be a bonus)
