Supervisor

As a supervisor, you will report to the contract manager, give direct instructions to cleaners, supervise cleaners whilst on duty and stop the cleaning process in dangerous situations. Responsibilities include ensuring cleaning schedules and standards of work are being met, monthly stock takes of all equipment and being responsible for orders of stores and pick up of stores once a month. Other tasks include checking equipment is effective and being managed, ensuring cleaning tasks are being managed and maintained to customer standards, checking cleaners are working in a safe and effective manner and providing onsite instructions to cleaners as necessary (cleaning methods, chemicals, safety, etc.) On top of this, you will ensure all employees are wearing Private Protective Equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices and undertake periodic inspections of sites then report safety performance to the area supervisor.

Industry knowledge relating to cleaning, chemicals and hazardous substances, and use of equipment are a must. Supervisory skills in relation to cleaners, communications with employees and customer relations/service skills are also highly desirable. A Full Driver Licence is also required.
