Nursery Worker
About this job
We have a local Te Horo employer that is looking for Nursery Workers. You might not have any tohu (certificates), or maybe you have a GrowSafe certificate or your forklift licence, but you are hardworking, energetic, love the taiao (environment) and outdoors. All training will be provided. You are practical and can do; you pick up new skills quickly. You need to be prepared to work hard outside through the seasons and use your hands. The roles involve general nursery work across several departments, such as propagation, dispatch and plant maintenance, a good level of fitness is needed and although it is a compact site, there is some small ride-on equipment that is used. Fixed-term roles available, with full time hours (5.5 days). Roles are seasonal. Onsite accommodation available. Occasionally work will be brought into shed if wet weather requires.
Job Requirements
You must be proficient in spoken English and physically fit. You will also need to be able to pass a drug test and police check.
