Experienced Yard manager You will be reporting to the Industrial Services Manager and working alongside our technical and environmental teams dealing with both solid liquid and medical waste remediation.

You will likely be experienced in the Waste Industry and managing a busy environment in a professional manner multi-tasking. You will have suitable computer skills to report daily on activities.

Responsibilities include,

Operating a forklift you will have F Endorsement as well as DG Minimum class 2 but class 4/5 will be useful. Overseeing the safe movement of all traffic in and out of the yard Overseeing and monitoring of all goods in and out of the yard Ensuring the yard is clean and tidy lawns are mowed and weeds controlled and windows and building kept clean. WasteCo have a culture where we believe Health and Safety is like the oxygen we breath and everyone is responsible for Health and Safety, that said you will be enthusiastic enough to say yes to customers but strong enough to say no if an unauthorised or unsafe practice is likely to take place. Develop and deliver with your boss new Yard Quality Plans as required to exceed current standards.

Job Requirements

You will have a number of key customers and suppliers that you will have the task of keeping happy You will be familiar with completing Risk Assessments and Safe Work Practices You will be comfortable trying to get the best outcomes when dealing with incidents and events that occur from time to time You will help us comply with all rules and regulations in relation to any goods in the Yard.

This will be 90% hands on role 10% office reporting and motivating people role You will be used to working in a busy environment with a few people reporting to you to complete tasks
