Home Care Support Worker

An employer is looking for Home Care Support Workers in the Raglan and Kawhia areas doing home help for their clients. The clients are the elderly, people with disability and those recuperating from illness or injury in their own home. Home Care Support Workers are caring people with a commitment to providing the best possible support to clients, and giving them the assistance they need to live independently in their homes and communities. Part time and full time options are available (between 20 to 40 hours per week) with support towards training up to NZQA Level 4 Health and Wellbeing, (increases in pay rates based on level of qualification held). Your duties will include cleaning, personal care, meal preparation and shopping. Supporting rehabilitation and independence in the home and community providing a friendly and supportive service to their multi-cultural client base. No experience required as full training will be given. You must have your own car for work (mileage will be paid for). Hold a minimum of Class 1 Restricted Driver Licence. Those interested in full time option must be available for 7 day rotating roster (including weekends). Must be able to pass a Police Check, however, minor convictions considered on a case-by-case basis. No COVID vaccination required for this role.
