About this job
The ideal candidate will have experience within the pipfruit sector and a knowledge of horticulture, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is key. Typically orchard duties include day to day maintenance and development of our organic apple orchards.Seasonal duties such as pruning, frost-fighting, planting, tree-tying, etc, mowing and spraying orchards, supervisory skills and quality control during thinning and harvest to oversee seasonal staff and general awareness of health and safety protocol. A Full or Restricted driving license is essential for all team members as you will be required to drive machinery. A pre-employment drug test will be required. Criminal convictions considered on a case by case basis.
