Tree Planter, Forestry

Forestry is a major importance for NZ’s economy, and tending to the forest crops is a crucial part of that. You will be planting Radiata Pine, carrying 11kg boxes and constantly walking up and down hills. Planters receive $28 a box planted and Hillys receive minimum wage with it to increase upon performance. Often referred to as the money season, there is an opportunity to make some really good money if you put the effort in. You will be working in all weather conditions including the rain. Fixed term Tree Planting from May – Oct, with the opportunity to continue if willing to travel post the season. Landscaping (planting and spraying) and labouring through the off season is available in Auckland, South Head and Taranaki. To those who are willing to travel 2 weeks away at a time, will receive an incentive attached to the rate per box. No pre employment drug test required, however you will need to complete 1 random test throughout the season. Centralised pick up point in Dargaville.

Will not work in storms/floods. Experience in planting, bush, landscaping, agricultural/farming, weed control type of work is preferred but not essential. This is hard work so need fit and able candidates Must like working outdoors
