About this job
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at the Wellington Airport. You will be responsible for making cakes, desserts and baking for large functions. We are seeking a hands-on chef who can use their energy, expertise and skills to ensure a superior quality of service at all times. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be organised and calm, with an eye for detail. You must be able to follow recipes, have attention to detail and work with speed. You will be working both as part of a team and independently. A real passion for high quality food is a must for this role!
In addition to the above you will be hard working, reliable and flexible, with a friendly, outgoing personality, and a can do attitude. You will have the relevant industry qualifications and a minimum of 2 years experience working as a Pastry Chef in a comparable environment. Ideally you will hold food safety Unit Standard 167.Must be able to get to the airport.Must pass MOJ check. Must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.Must be vaccinated.
