Primary School Teacher Aide
About this job
To work in small groups with assist teachers in being able to teach children who have been identified as having learning support needs. You will assist Teachers plan and implement programmes to meet the academic needs of individual children when working with ORS, ESOL, or learning support needs (e.g., spelling programme, ESOL programme) and attend Individual Educational Programme meetings and contribute to discussion as well as: - record the evidence, as required by the principal or classroom teacher, of improved learning as a result of the implementation of a programme delivered on a one-to-one or two-child basis. Activities will include: - supporting behaviour - social skills and academic achievement to assist with keeping students on task - toileting of students - assist the teacher in the creation of resources - assisting in cleaning up work areas and discuss with teachers the needs of students. Job Requirements
Preferably you will have had some experience in teacher aiding. Any education sector would suffice e.g. Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary. No qualifications are required, but a good level of literacy and numeracy would be desirable. You will be required to have a Police Vet Check completed.
