A Lower Hutt sports centre is seeking a kitchen hand to join their restaurant/bar team. The facility supports local and regional events and initiatives, as well as hosting national events on-site. Daily tasks will include: washing dishes, cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. You will also be responsible for a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure, have excellent attention to detail and be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The facility is open six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday, with varying shifts available depending on bookings. Job Requirements
Be able to work weekends and rostered shifts. Previous experience working in a restaurant, bar or cafe. Excellent reading and communication skills. Able to work comfortably and calm under pressure. Personable with a positive attitude and flexible. Must be able to pass a MOJ check.
Rostered shifts: Tuesday to Friday - 3pm to close (8pm to 12am) Saturday & Sunday - 12pm to close (8pm to 12am) Closed Mondays.
