About this job

Our employer is looking for 4 x permanent Orchard Workers to join their team. The duties will be those typical in the horticulture sector including pruning, spraying, tree training, harvesting, and mowing. You will be required to use company equipment such as tractors, mowers, and sprayers. You will also be expected to follow company rules to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others – this can include wearing PPE, safe driving practises and following standard operating procedures. Pay Rate $23 to $28 per hour, depending on experience. Hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Employer is willing to consider someone with some minor criminal convictions (no theft or dishonesty related convictions). This is on a case-by-case basis.

Job Requirements

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered: • Candidates must be self-motivated, reliable and punctual. • Ideally you will need their own reliable transport to get to work. • Have an interest in learning or growing their orcharding skills. • Able to work flexible hours, particularly in the high season (January – April) as the apples are ready when they’re ready! • Work safely as part of a team. • Must be physically able to work in an orchard environment • Drug free - we do pre-employ
